On 2 September 2026, Token Recovery joined the first-ever OSINord Conference in Copenhagen — a sold-out gathering of investigators, analysts and security professionals from across the Nordic OSINT community.
Our Head of Token Recovery, Scott Pounder, and Head of Investigations, Rob Moore, delivered a keynote titled “Following the Money: Inside Real-World Crypto Crime Investigations,” taking attendees beyond the blockchain explorer and into the reality of how crypto-enabled crime actually unfolds — and how it gets solved.
Beyond tracing transactions
Tracing funds on-chain is only part of the picture. In their session, Scott and Rob walked through how blockchain forensics, OSINT and traditional investigative techniques come together to connect on-chain activity with the real people behind it — from investment and impersonation scams to insider threats and rogue-employee fraud.
The talk covered how investigators build the kind of evidence that can actually support legal action: not just “where did the money go,” but who moved it, how, and what can be done about it.
A community built on real cases
What stood out most about OSINord was the honesty. Speakers — including Christian Tang Mathiasen and Joseph Jones alongside our own team — shared real cases and real methods rather than polished theory, and the room matched that energy. Sharp questions in the Q&As, long conversations at the bar afterwards, and a genuine appetite to compare notes across the investigations, security and OSINT disciplines.
